| The Kansas City Chiefs have just recently fired their former head coach, Gunther Cunningham and hired Dick Vermeil. The Chiefs did not just get Vermeil for free. They had to give the Rams $500,000 and a couple of draft picks because there was still two years left on his contract with the Rams when he left. Since Vermeil has been hired he has changed pretty much the whole coaching staff except for a couple of coaches. The Chiefs did not make it to the playoffs again this year and actually did worse this year than they did last year. They're hoping that Vermeil can turn this team around like he did with the Rams two years ago when he led them to a Super Bowl victory over the mighty Tennessee Titans. |
| The reason I feel the Chiefs are losing isn't because they don't have the talent it's because they don't have a consistent running game in their halfback, Tony Richardson. They have a great passing game considering they have Elvis Grbac, a Pro Bowler and Tony Gonzalez, another Pro Bowler and three pretty good wide receivers in Derrick Alexander, Sylvester Morris, and K-State great, Kevin Lockett. The Chiefs offensive line has one Pro Bowler on it and that is Will Sheilds a guard. The rest of the offensive line is players that could be future Pro Bowlers. The Chiefs defense has some talent in defensive end, Eric Hicks, defensive tackle Chester McGlockton, and linebacker, Donnie Edwards.
